Sein Lebenslauf umfasst fast alle Bereiche der Kunst, der Kunstvermittlung und Kunstberatung. Er war lange Zeit in St. Pantaleon als Kunst- und Werkerzieher tätig, ist dort zum Direktor der Hauptschule ernannt und hat sich nebenbei in einer Schlosserei mit Metallbearbeitung beschäftigt. Seine Begeisterung für Metall hat seither nicht aufgehört und äußert sich Jahr für Jahr in eigenwilligen Stahlplastiken, die man im Stahlpark in Riedersbach besichtigen kann. Er ist seit vielen Jahren der Initiator und Symposionsleiter der Internationalen Stahlsymposien in Riedersbach OÖ. Seit einigen
Jahren ist er auch in der Lehrerfortbildung am Pädagogischen Institut in
Linz als Professor tätig und betreut in diesem Rahmen unzählige und
einzigartige Schulprojekte in ganz Oberösterreich. Aber nicht nur auf
institutioneller Ebene ist er aktiv, sondern auch viele private Projekte
hat er ins Leben gerufen und betreut sie mit wachsender Begeisterung, zum
Beispiel das Farbwerk Radegund. Viele überregional bekannte Projekte
haben ihren Ausgang durch sein Engagement genommen, von denen nur einige
genannt seien: das „Hochtalprojekt“ in den Salinen in Hallstadt, die
„Kunst im Dreieck“ mit drei großen Firmen aus Wien, Graz und Linz,
„Rendevouz der Kunst“ im E-Werk Wels, „Enns-Kraft-Kunst“,
zahlreiche Galerien in Krankenhäuser, Schulgalerien, Galerien im Pädagogischen
Institut, Kulturcafe, Galerie Zentrum, etc. Für diese
Managertätigkeit im Bereich der Kunst ist es laut seiner Aussage unumgänglich,
selber auch künstlerisch tätig zu sein. Karl-Heinz Schönswetter überzeugt
durch großformatige Malereien, durch monumentale oder auch verspielte
Metallplastiken oder durch groß angelegte Kultur-Events, die von ihm bis

KARL-HEINZ SCHÖNSWETTER His life comprises all segments of art, the
art-procurement and art consultation. He has been in St. Pantaleon as a
art and work educator for a long time and there he was promoted as the
director of the main school. Beside that position he always worked with
metal in a lock-smith's shop. His enthusiasms for metal never ended and
you can see his works year by year in very individual steel-plastics at
the steel park in Riedersbach. Since many years he is the initiator and
manager of the Symposium of the international steel symposium in
Riedersbach, Upper Austria. Since some years he is also working as a
professor responsible for teachers education at the pedagogical institute
in Linz and takes care of a countless number of very individual school
projects in the whole of Upper Austria. He is not only working for
institutes but also has encouraged private projects with a lot of growing
enthusiasm, for example: the color work Radegund. Many more than only
regional project were founded through his engagement, from which we want
to mention only a few: the "Hochtal project" in the saltworks in
Hallstadt, the "art in the triangle" with 3 big companies from
Vienna, Graz and Linz, " Rendezvous of art" in the E-work Wels,
"Enns-power-art", a numerous galleries in hospitals, school
galleries, galleries in pedagogical institute, culture coffee, gallery
center, etc. .. He himself told that it is of major
importance to be an artist yourself if you have a managing post in the
segment of art. Karl-Heinz Schönswetter convinces through his big format
paintings, with monumental and also playful metal plastics or with great
